The Amahoro Coalition Fellowship program targets exceptional individuals with lived experience as Forcibly Displaced Persons (FDPs). Its aim is to equip these individuals with the essential skills and resources to create transformative change.

Applicants must:
• Be between the ages of 18 and 35 at the time of application.
• Have lived experience as a forcibly displaced person (FDP).
• Own or occupy a leadership position in a business or social impact initiative. Individuals using their voices and platforms for positive change will also be considered.
• Commit to refugee economic inclusion through entrepreneurship, innovation, advocacy, or community-led social change.
• Have demonstrated 1 to 2 years progress in entrepreneurship, innovation, or social change. Evidence may include business registration, revenue generation, partnerships,media features,impact reports, awards, or testimonials.
• Demonstrate resilience, creativity, and a solution-oriented mindset in tackling refugee-related challenges
• Be able to dedicate 12 months from August 2025 to September 2026, committing between 10 to 15 hours per week of hands-on virtual workshops and activities.
• Be comfortable speaking and writing in English
• Have basic skills in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or mobile- friendly digital tools

Fellows will:
• Gain access to mentorship and professional coaching.
• Expand their networks and receive industry connections.
• Develop leadership and thought leadership skills.
• Receive funding opportunities (up to $155,000 for select fellows).
• Access technical assistance and business development support

• Engage with mentors and networking opportunities.
• Drive impact through entrepreneurship or social change efforts.
• Commit to the full duration of the program.
• Become an ambassador of the program by sharing learnings and experiences on social media

The fellowship lasts 12 months (August 2024 – September 2025), requiring a 10–15 hour weekly commitment.

Yes, we provide our fellows with a monthly stipend to cover the cost of electricity and data for the fellowship sessions. Fellows also have the opportunity to participate in a competitive funding process where they can secure up to $155,000 in blended financing each to scale their impact.

Yes, but you must commit 10–15 hours per week to fellowship activities.

The fellowship is primarily virtual with opportunities for in-person networking
events.

No, the fellowship does not require any fees or expenses from selected fellows

Fellows will become part of the Amahoro Alumni Network, gaining continued access to networking, mentorship, and funding opportunities.

Past fellows can not apply to future cohorts after completing one.
