Founder - Campus Digital Hub
Munguzo Jean is a social innovator and advocate for education and IT improvement for refugees, currently residing in the Nakivale Refugee Settlement in Uganda.
CAMPUS Digital Hub is an initiative based in Nakivale Refugee Settlement in Uganda. It was started by Munguzo to give refugees and host communities access to digital tools, information, and skills that help them improve their lives and build a better future. The hub offers computer training, creative design, mobile app development, and support for tech-based projects that solve community problems.
The initiative focuses on solving the problem of limited access to digital education and information in refugee settlements. Many young people and women have few chances to learn about technology or use it to create opportunities. CAMPUS Digital Hub provides a space where
they can learn, create, and connect with others.
So far, the hub has helped hundreds of youths gain digital skills and supported the creation of the ConnectRefugee app, which keeps people in the settlement informed about jobs, education, health, and community events in multiple languages.
The future goal of CAMPUS Digital Hub is to open more training spaces in other settlements, improve the ConnectRefugee app, and support more youth in turning their tech ideas into real solutions for their communities.
