Thank You for Supporting Refugee Youth in Kenya
You didn’t just order a drink, you opened a door. Your Farm Gin & Tonic helps young refugees and host-community youth in Kenya access internships, gain experience, and overcome barriers to employment.
Thank you for picking not only a refreshing cocktail, but also for supporting people! It will contribute directly by creating job opportunities for displaced youth in Kenya.
Through this small but powerful initiative with Cultiva, 100 KES from every purple Farm G&T (perfect match for our Amahoro colour!) supports our work to unlock economic opportunities for refugees and host-community young people.
Who We Are
Amahoro Coalition is a pan-African organization working across the continent to advance the economic inclusion of displaced people including refugees, asylum seekers, and internally displaced persons. We collaborate with businesses, universities, and community organizations to connect displaced talent to real jobs, reduce barriers to entry, and shift perceptions from “beneficiaries” to capable contributors.
Many refugees in Kenya hold bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, diplomas, or technical skills, yet struggle to access formal employment due to misconceptions, documentation challenges, or financial barriers.
We work to change that.
What Your Drink Supports
Your contribution helps us create pathways for young refugees and host-community youth to gain real, meaningful work experience.
We provide small stipends to cover essentials such as:
- Transport to and from work
- Lunch
- Basic daily expenses during a 3-month placement
These stipends make it possible for young people to join internships with SMEs, hospitality venues, service businesses, digital companies, and retail employers sectors where real jobs exist. All participants are registered on the Amahoro Skills Hub so we can track their growth into long-term employment.
We also use this fund to remove low-cost but high-impact barriers that prevent displaced people from accepting job offers, such as:
- Transport for interviews or the first month of work
- Basic uniforms or work tools
- Certification or accreditation fees
We prioritize candidates who already have a confirmed job or internship offer, but cannot afford the upfront costs needed to start. All beneficiaries are verified refugees or young people from communities hosting refugees and all are referred through trusted partners and our Skills Hub.
