Nairobi’s Power Players Mix for a Cause
In a strong display of cross-sector collaboration, over 80 leaders from business, humanitarian, and development sectors gathered on Thursday July 31, 2025, at the Amahoro Coalition’s Nairobi office for a high-level networking mixer. Originally planned as a 50-person event, the evening exceeded expectations—drawing senior representatives from companies like Uber and NCBA alongside key agencies such as UNHCR and IOM.

The event, designed to shift refugee-led innovation conversations beyond boardrooms, served as a platform to explore inclusive hiring, strategic partnerships, and impact-driven CSR.
With private sector leaders making up nearly 78% of attendees, the mixer reinforced Amahoro’s position as a credible convener at the intersection of business and social impact.
As turnout surpassed capacity, it also signaled a clear appetite for deeper private sector engagement in unlocking economic opportunities for refugee communities.
